“I AM Out”… (Case Study)

CASE

She is 16 years old, very big, tall girl, that came for singing lessons.

When she opened her mouth to pronounce a sound, I was surprised that I could hardly listen to what she was singing… I would expect more from that body… (my mistake).

I told her to open her mouth and think as her mouth being a faucet. When you open the faucet a little bit, almost no water comes out; but if you open the faucet a lot, a big stream of water will run out.

She tried, and a “big stream” of voice came out of her body.

I asked her: “What do you feel, How did it feel?”

She answered: “I AM out…”

CONCLUSION

It is one of the most difficult things to OPEN YOUR MOUTH. Literally. Try to do it. Put your three middle fingers (vertically – don’t cheat!!) inside your mouth and check how even your jaws hurt.

When we open our mouths, we are PRESENT, we are HERE. We are being heard, we HAVE a voice;

Are you READY to being heard?
