We fear the anger and try to get rid of it. We even don’t want to feel it because it is “wrong and not nice”. Anger is nothing more than a stuck energy in the body and we have to put it in movement again. The process can be as simple as screaming into a cushion (so as not to alarm the neighbors), yelling in the car, beating cushions, chopping wood, or doing some other explosive physical activity.
Combining physical activity with the use of the voice is key to successful energy release work. All too often, we block the energy of emotion in the throat, whether that be anger, sadness, guilt, etc. Vocal expression will allow us to move the feeling through our body –without though or judgment, and finally liberating and dissipating the energy. – Collin Tipping
